Welcome

Hi, my name is Oleksandr Boiko.

My main occupation is software development. I do this professionally for a living since 2005 and so far I pretty much like what I am doing. These days I work at ServiceNow, where I am busy with implementing a Process Mining product, mostly the UI part of it. It brings lots of interesting challenges, and my most favorite one is the process graph.

I was born in Kharkiv, Ukraine, and lived there till 2015. Then I grasped an opportunity and moved to The Netherlands to pursue my professional and personal ambitions. Currently, I am enjoying my life in the suburbs of Amsterdam in a company with my wife, kids, and a quite smart cat.

Here is what you can find on this website:

• Projects. Sometimes I have some free time and an urgent desire to code something different or unusual. I like to do experiments and learn new stuff, and occasionally a small experiment evolves into a project or demo. For example, an online IDE for LOGO, my very first programming language, or a guitar tuner which works in the web browser.
• Blog. Posts about things I built or figured out. It was abandoned for quite a while, but now I started to post some small things there again from time to time.
• Songs. I like playing the guitar from time to time, so I keep lyrics, chords and tabs of my favorite repertoire handy in one place. Some songs even have sheet music which can be played right on the page.
